Job Description

Job Purpose Network Security Operations Specialists are responsible for the operation, configuration and troubleshooting of the Alcon corporate network security infrastructure. Candidates will interface with end users and other technology experts to troubleshoot operational issues and implement network security solutions as required.

\xc2\xb7 To Support Svc / Sol Operations Manager in all occurring technical topics.

\xc2\xb7 To ensure normal services are restored as quickly as possible and adverse impact on operations due to incidents in IT environment is minimized.

\xc2\xb7 To operate Network Security services, systems and applications.

\xc2\xb7 Monitor all events that occur in the enterprise IT environment to allow normal operations and to detect and escalate exception conditions.

To ensure that Configuration Items (any component that needs to be managed in order to deliver an IT Service) are identified, accounted, reported, verified and audited.

Essential Job Functions

\xc2\xb7 Operate network security infrastructure and monitor system reliability and performance.

\xc2\xb7 Provide operational support for Zscaler Internet Access cloud proxy service.

\xc2\xb7 Provide operational support for Zscaler Private Access remote access service.

\xc2\xb7 Configure firewall rules on Fortinet , Check Point, and other firewall platforms.

\xc2\xb7 Perform testing and verification with end users to verify firewall policies work as expected.

\xc2\xb7 Configure, install, and maintain TippingPoint intrusion prevention (IPS) technologies.

\xc2\xb7 Effectively communicates with business customers to troubleshoot connectivity issues.

\xc2\xb7 Respond to unplanned events that adversely affect the network or computing environment.

\xc2\xb7 Understand networking concepts such as routing and switching, and work with the network team for collaborative troubleshooting.

\xc2\xb7 Operate and maintains security infrastructure, track significant problems, monitor performance, and perform upgrades to hardware and software as required.

\xc2\xb7 Maintains documentation regarding network configurations, operating procedures, and service records relating to network hardware and software.

\xc2\xb7 Acts as subject matter expert for all technical related issues and owns functional escalations until resolution.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure that an up-to-date asset inventory for all technology assets is maintained

Standard Minimimum Requirements

\xc2\xb7 Education: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent years of applicable experience

\xc2\xb7 Experience: 1-2 years of applicable experience

Language

The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.
