Position: Stock Market Network Engineer -05 Opening Department: Information & Technology Location: Surat Employment Type: Full-time Experience: Min 7 year Salary: No bar for right candidate Industry: Stock Market and Finance Domain Only Responsibilities:

• Network Infrastructure Design: Design and architect high-performance network solutions for stock market trading systems, taking into account low-latency requirements, high availability, and fault tolerance. Collaborate with traders, software developers, and system administrators to understand their requirements and translate them into network designs.
• Network Configuration and Deployment: Configure, deploy, and manage network devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers, in stock market environments. Optimize network configurations for ultra-low latency, high throughput, and robust connectivity.
• Low-Latency Network Optimization: Implement and optimize network protocols, technologies, and topologies to achieve the lowest possible latency in stock market transactions and data feeds. Analyse network traffic patterns, latency metrics, and congestion points to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor network performance and stability using specialized tools and techniques. Proactively identify and resolve network-related issues that could impact trading operations, such as packet loss, jitter, or network congestion.
• Network Security and Compliance: Implement stringent security measures to protect stock market trading systems, sensitive financial data, and client information. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards, by implementing secure network access controls, encryption, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery plans and procedures for network infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted trading operations. Test and validate the effectiveness of the plans through regular simulations and drills
• Vendor Management: Collaborate with network service providers, telecom carriers, and hardware vendors to procure and manage network-related services and equipment. Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and maintain vendor relationships to ensure reliable and cost-effective network services.
• Documentation and Change Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, IP addressing schemes, and change management processes. Adhere to change control policies and document network changes in a controlled and auditable manner.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with traders, software developers, and infrastructure teams to gather requirements, implement network solutions, and troubleshoot issues. Communicate network-related updates, project progress, and technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Stay Updated with Industry Trends: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, market data protocols, trading platforms, and regulatory requirements in the stock market industry. Continuously enhance technical knowledge and skills through self-study, training, and participation in relevant industry conferences or forums.

Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on low-latency networks in stock market or financial trading environments.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, UDP, multicast, Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, routing, and network optimization techniques.
• Strong understanding of low-latency network design principles and technologies, such as market data distribution, DMA (Direct Market Access), and high-frequency trading (HFT) strategies.
• Hands-on experience with network equipment and technologies commonly used in stock market environments, such as Cisco Nexus switches, multicast routing protocols, and high-performance network adapters.
• Familiarity with market data feeds, order management systems (OMS), and trading platforms commonly used in the financial industry.
• Expertise in network monitoring and analysis tools, such as packet capture analysis, latency measurement tools, and network performance monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of network security principles and best practices, including firewalls, access controls, encryption, and network segmentation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues under time-sensitive conditions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Industry certifications related to networking and financial trading systems are a plus.
