Minimum qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience. Experience with Network Test Automation, TCP/IP, IP Peering, Network Protocol Management, Network Troubleshooting, Network Design, C++, and Go. Preferred qualifications: Industry relevant expert level certifications. Experience with networking technologies/concepts such as Software Defined Networking (SDN) and OpenFlow. Experience in design and implement LAB network matching production environment, tooling for config and debug of devices, design tests to verify interoperability between vendor gears. Our Google Wide Area Network (gWAN) Build and Safety team plans, designs and builds Google\'s global private WAN network. In this role, you will deliver the networking that enables all Google\'s technical infrastructure. Responsibilities Define and describe network problems, write documents to describe test plans and procedures,execute and publish results of test plans or process documentation for Google-wide use. Review test plans with the team and participate in cross-functional test results reviews. Write and automate test plans, identify and gather requirements to execute tests for several features of moderate to high-complexity projects (e.g., BGP protocol testing, link aggregation control protocol testing, quality of service testing) with minimal guidance. Contribute to the development and testing of new features that are part of the larger product development lifecycles. Update the operational requirements to adopt new technology into operations (software defined networking), in collaboration with engineering, architecture, and developers. Identify, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software, hardware, and other network and system problems, with minimal guidance.
