Role Summary & Role Description: Networks as a Service (NaaS) is seeking a highly skilled developer to add to our growing development team within GTS. As key member of Critical Services Engineering you will be part of Network Engineering and Automation team. This position is an Officer role that requires attention to detail, good organization, and communication skills. Your goal is to deliver products to our global network team which will assist with the transformation to an automated network and network security environment. Ideal candidates will have well-rounded knowledge of programming languages such as python, full stack software engineering technologies, cloud technologies, and basic networking knowledge. What you\'ll do: Full Stack development of solutions to automate Network Technologies. Experience contributing to and understanding all layers of a full stack application. Database integration including querying, joins, and optimization. Develop and test modular, high quality code. Write automated tests and contribute to all aspects of the SDLC process. Deliver against requirements and acceptance criteria from a Network Infrastructure team. Interface with Network Engineers to understand the requirements for Network devices. Collaborate with the development team on a daily basis. Work within a Scrum framework using an agile mind-set following SDLC processes. Ability to work with a variety of infrastructure technologies and third-party products. Who you are: Highly experienced with Python. Experience with web frameworks such as Django and programming languages a plus. Working knowledge of full stack application technologies such as message brokers, version control, authentication and authorization controls. Extensive experience in communication with other systems via restful API\'s. Solid experience with of web data formats including JSON and XML Experience with automating networking technologies a plus. Familiarity with front-end web development using HTML, bootstrap, CSS, JavaScript and React. Working knowledge of software development using Agile principals and Scrum framework. Automation focused and engineering mind set. Openness and ability to learn new skills and technologies in a fast-paced environment. Self motivated and passionate individual Team player, ability to effectively communicate ideas and escalate issues across teams in a timely manner. Positive attitude, enthusiastic, and drive to perform and demonstrate results. Collaborative, team-oriented. Challenge the ideas of others, and be willing to accept challenges of your own ideas. Know what you know, be willing to ask and learn what you don\'t know. High quality, modular code. Expect the unexpected and account for those paths. Analytical thought process. Having the mindset to understand what is needed over how to implement. No single person knows it all. Bring solid skills to the table in some areas, and be prepared to expend your skills in other areas. Core/Must have skills: Strong programming in Python including parallel programming, writing custom libraries.
