Job Purpose

Responsible for architecting a cost optimized data network design, for Public, Private and Hybrid Clouds hosted in either self-owned or collocated at third-party Datacenters, that meet all the stated SLAs

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design a computer data network using switches, routers, firewall, etc. to meet customer SLAs
• Be the thought leader and suggest data network designs that future proof investments for 7 years
• Debug network outages
• Interact with OEM vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Nokia, Palo Alto etc. to be aware of their latest offerings and technology differentiators.
• Work under costing and supply chain constraints and suggest alternate designs.
• Prioritize and resolve security incidents and escalate where necessary.
• Lead the installation, upgrading, operation, control, maintenance and effective use of all data networking equipment.
• Ensure technical evaluation and proof-of-concept of new technologies for network infrastructure.
• Train teams on the implementation of new network-based initiatives, providing associated training as required

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (degree, training, and certification required)

• BE/B-Tech or equivalent with Computer Science or Electronics & Communication
• Current CCDE or CCIE (R&S/Security/Data Center) or JNCIE \xe2\x80\x93 successfully completed both Theory and Lab. All certifications must be current.

Relevant Experience

• Above 10 Years of relevant experience
• Must have worked in a Service Provider Data Center, or have been directly employed by OEMs like Cisco, Juniper etc. consulting team for Service Providers like Telcos and commercial Data Center operators.
• Expertise in Design/operations and maintenance of telecommunications/networking equipment like switches, routers, etc. Person should have good experience in designing, configuring and managing top tier data centers.
• Good understanding of OSI 7 layers of networks.
• Expert in the following concepts :
• Routing protocols like RIP, OSPF, BGP and in depth configuration and debug experience with OEM gear from Cisco, Juniper, Arista etc..
• Switch protocols : VLAN, xSTP, LACP, Stacking, VxLAN etc
• Applications like SNMP/SYSLOG/NTP/DHCP/DNS
• Firewall- DPI, VPN, L4 NGFW

• Competent in people leadership, communication and presentation skills
