Trimble is recruiting for a Network Administrator I to fill an opportunity in Chennai, TN, India. Job Summary This is an exciting opportunity to be a member of Trimble\'s global, as a member of the corporate Network team. Network team members are responsible for monitoring and maintaining Trimble\'s internal world-wide communications systems, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs) and carrier circuits. The candidate will be involved in troubleshooting and maintaining both in-house and vendor network connections including managing, monitoring and configuring routers, switches, wireless access points and other devices or technologies as required. Also includes vendor circuits and such as direct internet access circuits and MPLS circuits. Key Responsibilities: Operational support and incident resolution. Compliance: Monitor and correct compliance issues for device configurations Standardization: Develop and maintain standard configurations, procedures and guidelines for installing and operating data networks. Perform first line troubleshooting of network issues. System maintenance: Perform firmware / OS upgrades on routers, switches, firewalls, access points and other devices in accordance with company needs. Capacity planning review circuit and device capacities and recommend actions to the Global Network Manager. Interface with ISP and carriers to install/commission/test new circuits and/or troubleshoot existing circuits. Occasional on-call duties. Skills & Experience Required: (Desired/Preferred skills are denoted) Team player Excellent verbal and written skills. Willingness to learn and continue education. BS or BA degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent education, training or work experience. Proven competence in the development, implementation and maintenance of complex network systems with 1 to 2 years\' experience in a networking enterprise environment. Experience with global enterprise networks is preferred. Cisco certifications: CCNA - Routing and Switching or CCNA - Security CCNP Routing and Switching greatly preferred Other industry certifications / training is greatly desired (examples, CEH, CISSP, MCP, etc) Experience with the following technologies in design/implement/troubleshooting capacity is essential: LAN: Switching - Cisco IOS/Nexus, VLANs, STP/RSTP, CoS, QoS, Ether-channel/Trunking,etc Experience with Cisco routers and switches is required, experience with Dell and HP switches desired. Routing: BGP, EIGRP, HSRP or VRRP, PBR, etc. WAN: Direct Internet Access (DIA), Point to Point circuits (PTP), MPLS, MetroEthernet, etc. VPN Solutions: IOS/ASA based L2L and Client access VPN, Knowledge of DMVPN Knowledge of Network Management and WAN Optimization: Working knowledge of Silver Peak SD-WAN solutions desired. Knowledge of wireless solutions 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, etc. and other new/emerging standards Wireless network design and administration required, experience with Extreme wireless solutions is greatly desired Authentication solutions including Cisco ACS/RADIUS/TACACS /Certificates(PKI) greatly desired Network troubleshooting using packet capture and analysis using tools such as Wireshark Experience with SolarWinds monitoring solution is preferred. Experience with Extreme wireless systems is preferred. Experience with SolarWinds monitoring/management products or other monitoring systems greatly desired. Network security experience desired. Automation experience with Ansible, Python, or other automation platforms is greatly preferred.
