Summary: We are looking for a well-rounded full-stack software engineer with 8+ years in experience in designing, coding, and rolling out moderately complex web applications. You will join our RegTech engineering team that enables PayPal to operate across the globe and protects our business from money laundering activities. : What you will enjoy doing with us:

• Design, code, and maintain web services and applications that directly provide core capabilities for PayPal
• Collaborate in an empowered engineering team to develop extensible technical solutions for complex RegTech problems
• Work with product management to formulate innovative solutions to improve customer success
• Make quantifiable improvements on the engineering process, quality, and efficiency through automation, proper code abstraction, and monitoring

What you need to bring to the role:

• 5+ years of professional experience programming modern enterprise applications.
• 5+ years of professional experience on any web framework such as React or Angular
• 5+ years of professional experience on Java
• 5+ years of professional experience programming web services in Java
• Interest and ability to learn programming languages and frameworks
• Experience in system design and considerations for large scale deployments
• Solid understanding of developing APIs and integrating services
• Strong skills in writing testable code and high-quality tests
• Any experience on automation using Selenium is added advantage
• Familiarity with developing efficient queries and designing schemas for relational databases
• Inclusive mindset to collaborate effectively in a diverse team
• Experience working in an Agile team, familiarity with Agile best practices, and ability to manage individual task deliverables
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

Plus points:

• Experience in developing platform level features, such as configuration management, service discovery and routing, feature switch, A/B testing, etc.
• Familiarity with Open Source Web Stack Frameworks, Cloud Infrastructure
• Experience with Git, Docker, CI/CD systems
• Experience with Sonar code quality.
• Experience in RegTech or FinTech related domains
