Job Description

Core Design & Engineering

Design furniture products that meet aesthetic, functional, ergonomic, and safety requirements Convert design concepts into detailed engineering drawings and 3D CAD models Select appropriate materials, hardware, finishes, and construction methods Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements
Technical Development

Create technical specifications, bills of materials (BOM), and assembly instructions Develop prototypes and oversee testing for strength, durability, and usability Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and scalability Solve engineering problems related to structure, stability, and performance
Manufacturing & Production Support

Collaborate with production teams to support tooling, fabrication, and assembly processes Identify and implement design improvements to reduce waste and production issues Work closely with suppliers and vendors on materials, components, and feasibility Support pilot runs and resolve production-related design challenges
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work with industrial designers, product managers, and marketing teams to align design intent with market needs Coordinate with quality, sourcing, and logistics teams throughout the product lifecycle Incorporate customer feedback and testing results into design revisions
Quality & Documentation

Maintain accurate design documentation and version control Ensure products meet quality, durability, and safety standards before release Support certification processes and audits when required
Continuous Improvement

Stay updated on furniture design trends, materials, and manufacturing technologies Drive innovation in product design, sustainability, and cost optimizationCore Design & Engineering Design furniture products that meet aesthetic, functional, ergonomic, and safety requirements
