The Mocktails & Shakes Bartender is responsible for creating, preparing, and serving a wide range of refreshing mocktails, milkshakes, smoothies, and other specialty beverages. The role requires creativity, speed, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences through high-quality drinks and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:Beverage Preparation:
Prepare and serve a variety of mocktails, shakes, smoothies, juices, and other non-alcoholic beverages as per recipes and presentation standards.
Experiment with new flavor combinations and assist in developing signature drinks for the menu.
Ensure consistent taste, texture, and appearance of all beverages.
Garnish drinks aesthetically and maintain beverage quality from preparation to service.
Guest Service:
Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, recommending drinks based on preferences.
Handle guest feedback courteously and ensure a positive beverage experience.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar counter and service area.
Bar Operations:
Prepare mise en place -- cut fruits, mix syrups, restock garnishes, and prepare bar ingredients before service.
Monitor inventory of ingredients, glassware, and supplies; report shortages to the manager.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for hygiene, storage, and service.
Operate blenders, juicers, shakers, and other bar equipment safely and efficiently.
Quality & Hygiene:
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in compliance with food safety regulations.
Handle ingredients and equipment according to health and safety guidelines.
Ensure all beverages are prepared in a hygienic and visually appealing manner.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in hospitality or bartending preferred.
1-3 years of experience as a bartender, juice maker, or beverage specialist in a cafe, restaurant, or bar.
Strong knowledge of mocktail and milkshake recipes, flavor profiles, and presentation techniques.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Creativity, attention to detail, and passion for mixology (non-alcoholic focus).
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
