Job Summary:

This role is with the Cubic Transportation Platforms team where you\xe2\x80\x99ll be a key member of the software engineering team working on next-generation cloud-powered mobile products and services. Cubic Transportation Platforms team is developing several new products and services to improve transit networks, reduce road congestion, enhance the travel experience, and minimize the world\xe2\x80\x99s carbon footprint. We have a deep focus on the customer, are unafraid to think big, and operate with a Design Thinking and Lean Startup mindset. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Dockerizing Java/Tomcat/Springboot/.NET Core applications by creating Dockerfiles and docker-compose files
• Writing Kubernetes manifests and Helm Charts
• Perform advanced support for container/Kubernetes runtime issues
• Troubleshooting issues with containerized spring boot applications
• Drive visibility and continuous improvement of delivery pipelines

Provide support for the engineering teams by troubleshooting and resolving software, pipeline and infrastructure related issues
with an eye to automating those issues away.

• Developing internal tools to increase Ops velocity on deploying, maintaining, and fixing Kubernetes deployments
• Ensuring that workloads are scaled appropriately now and in the future
• Collaborating with Engineering/Operation/Network/Database teams
• Resolution or escalation of incidents and service requests within Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Create and maintain accurate, clear and comprehensive documentation.
• Take responsibility for project deliverables
• Provide out-of-hours support in critical incidents and participate in on-call support
• Perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Essential:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in computer science or related technical field.

At least 3 years of experience working with containerization technologies as an active contributor, including Docker, Helm, and
Kubernetes

• Thorough understanding of kubernetes resources and interacting with kubernetes clusters via kubectl
• At least 3 years of experience working with code repositories and build tools including GIT, GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket, Jenkins

Desirable:

• 2 years of experience in an enterprise cloud environment including Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform will be preferred.
