Job Summary



The Bar Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar, ensuring high-quality service, maintaining beverage standards, managing stock and inventory, and leading the bar team to deliver excellent guest experiences in line with the company's hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities



Operations Management



Supervise and manage daily bar operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Maintain beverage quality, presentation, and consistency as per brand standards. Develop new beverage menus, seasonal specials, and promotions. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Team Leadership



Recruit, train, and develop bartenders and bar staff. Schedule shifts and manage staff performance. Motivate the team to deliver professional, attentive, and personalized guest service.

Financial & Inventory Control



Monitor and control bar costs, wastage, and breakages. Manage stock levels, conduct regular inventory checks, and ensure timely ordering. Work with the accounts team to achieve revenue targets and control expenses.

Guest Experience



Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle complaints efficiently. Create a welcoming atmosphere and promote upselling of premium beverages. Organize bar events, tastings, and entertainment activities to enhance guest engagement.

Compliance & Standards



Adhere to licensing laws and ensure all staff comply with alcohol service regulations. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper functioning of the bar area. Implement and enforce company policies, SOPs, and brand guidelines.

Requirements



Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Bar Manager or senior bartender in a hotel, resort, or high-end bar. Strong knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and mixology trends. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage a fast-paced environment. Customer service-oriented with problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills



Certification in Mixology / Beverage Management. Knowledge of POS systems and bar inventory software. Creativity in cocktail development and bar concepts. Experience in luxury hospitality or resort operations.
