Job title: Director – Data Science & Analytics, Mindshare, India Overview of job Group M is the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Director of Data Science and Analytics to join our national Data Science team. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding business problems of multinational and local top marketers and converting it to Data science models.   • Analyze media performance utilizing cutting edge cloud tools and innovative analytics techniques that to create actionable insights
  • Perform storytelling from data and analyses; persuasively communicate insights to internal stakeholders and clients

  • Statistical validation of problem hypothesis
  • Supervised and Unsupervised Algorithm development

Measures of success In three months:
  • complete onboarding of all existing ML algorithms across mindshare
  • complete onboarding and understand client deliverables and expectations from Data science
  • Understand Data Science capabilities across allotted clients
In 6 months:
  • Custom build MMM non-linear regression algorithms and cross validate
  • Custom build neural network algorithm for use cases
  • Contribute to predictive analytics capability
In 12 months: Lead the Data Science capability building and solution delivery across allotted clients and be the trusted advisor for client marketing leadership. Responsibilities of the role:
  • Manage and help grow Data Science solution delivery across existing and client new business
  • Supervise, train and mentor experienced and junior data scientists
  • Identify measurement opportunities, research and/or advanced analytics that supports our clients’ marketing objectives
  • Use ML, Statistical and Data Mining methods to project and explain client performance
  • Act as primary day-to-day contact on insights and analytics to digital and traditional media managers and clients
  • Manage project timelines and deliverable schedules and share concerns about deliverables, timelines, and issues with project managers and team leads
  • Consult with clients on strategic decisions based on data insights
  • Develop analytics proposals and strategies to present to clients
  • Identify and partner with external measurement vendors and third-party data providers
What you will need:
  • 6+ years of experience in statistical analysis, Supervised and Unsupervised Machine Learning Algorithms, predictive modeling
  • 1-2 years of experience in a people management or supervisory role
  • Bachelor’s or Graduate in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science. Economics, Operations Research or related quantitative field
  • Knowledge of programmatic advertising / ad serving platforms such as DCM is a plus
  • knowledge of SQL and experience working with at least one of the major cloud platforms (GCP, Azure) is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations using statistical and econometric modeling techniques
  • Knowledge of visual techniques for data analysis and presentation
  • Possess excellent written, oral communication, project management and presentation skills.
