Introduction: The Migration manager role demands Managing migration events/project management and thought leadership to achieve goals like efficient migration deliveries, stakeholder management and deliveries alignment

  • Understand scope and Identify roles & responsibilities required for project/migration deliverables
  • Identify component teams to support deliverables and liaise with the teams
  • Create and maintain delivery/migration plan for technical deliverables.
  • Identify & document Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies
  • Status Reporting and escalation of issues at right time to right stakeholders.
  • Champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Project Management
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies
  • Capable in providing consultancy, assistance and leadership in areas associated with various aspects of Delivery Management.
What will you be doing?
  • Support the Application/ Platform Owner in managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to implement an effective system of project governance
  • Facilitates team meetings (cross platform/team discussions, Planning, Grooming, execution, implementation) within delivery/project. Ensuring the impediments faced by the engineering teams are resolved with a sense of urgency
  • Produce Plans to help manage and implement complex migration events from initiation to closure, managing financial budget to ensure maximum productivity and cost efficiency.
  • Organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues while delivery planning for assigned projects
What we’re looking for: . . Deep understanding of Project Management, Server Migration, Decommission, change management concepts and practices: . Experienced at implementing or managing Migration Project, processes and tools
  • Actively identifies and mitigates risks while delivering schedules of change
  • Advocates best practices utilising supporting tools and processes relating to project management
  • Has a wide network within the organisation and shows integrity while addressing challenging situations
  • Manage and Co-ordinating changes for the Migrations/Decomm and facilitating customer engagement
  • Manage change records on Barclays current toolset (ServiceNow) and manage them through the standard change management process to completion
  • Work closely with the migration manager and implementation as required to deliver effective changes that have no impact on service
  • Representing changes at Change Advisory Boards (CABs) and ensuring business approval
  • Deal with change rejections and arbitrate conversations to achieve approval
  • Review implemented changes to ensure they have met their objectives.
  • Complete service mapping activities to ensure changes gain necessary service approvals
