The MIS team is seeking a motivated and highly qualified MS SQL Database developer who thrives in an environment of innovation and collaboration. As part of the development team, you will utilize your subject matter expertise of database structures and architecture to ensure optimum application performance for our award-winning software applications. This position requires an individual who has proven success in a dynamic environment focused on delivering customer centric software solutions and where priorities change rapidly based on the evolution of technology and business needs. As a result, our development processes require a professional with excellent adaptability and communication skills.

As a member on the MIS team you will be able to utilize the latest in relational database technologies. Primary responsibilities will include:
Design and develop high-performance database solutions for our software applications.
Write/modify complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support data processing requirements.
Optimize database performance by analyzing query execution plans and indexing strategies.
Resolve database issues as they arise and help team members in troubleshooting TSQL code issues.
Monitor database performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to ensure database design and development align with business requirements.
Maintain data integrity and security in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain documentation related to database design, architecture, and functionality.
Stay current with the latest database technologies and best practices.
Should be capable of developing automation techniques for existing code.
Good to have SQL admin hands-on on SQL server.
Recommend solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities from initial design concept to final production deployment
Understand and promote best practices and standards for database development; oversee governance to assure product stability and performance
Identify database requirements by interviewing customers; analyze, design, and code database utilities for existing and future systems developed for the platform
Identify bottlenecks and make corrective recommendations to assure optimum database performance
Collaborate with other members of the team to deliver industry leading software on time in a high-energy dynamic environment

Qualifications
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline is required
3+ years of relational database development in a high-availability production environment
Strong demonstrated proficiency of T-SQL
Experience developing database objects for web and desktop applications.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task projects with competing demands in an effective and productive manner.

Desired Skills
Thorough understanding of Profiling, Performance Tuning and Optimization, using monitoring and troubleshooting tools to resolve database problems.
Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics
Strong knowledge of T-SQL programming language and MS SQL Server.
Experience in optimizing database performance using tools such as SQL Profiler and Performance monitor.
Familiarity with database security measures such as encryption, access control, and auditing.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
