The Opportunity
The Adobe People Analytics team is part of the Insights and Technology organization in Employee Experience (HR). We are responsible for building the Data Driven Operating Model (DDOM) in Employee Experience to provide critical insights on the employee journey (discover, onboard, engage, perform, transition) and supporting people reporting and analytics needs across global Adobe.
What you'll Do
Business Intelligence & Visualization manager will lead a geographically distributed team of developers and people analysts working on a portfolio of roadmap projects and run-the-business work. The roadmap work will focus on building Business Intelligence and reporting solutions. The run-the-business work will involve a combination of reporting, metrics design, and data analyses.
Your role is to coach and mentor the team to show up as consultants and trusted advisors, not merely delivering against outlined requirements but rather finding ways to address the problem the customer (employee) is seeking to solve with data and insights.
In addition, you will guide people analysts on generating hypotheses and identifying appropriate types of analyses to be performed to deliver insights and answer business questions
To be successful in leading this highly-motivated technical team, you will provide clear direction, support, empowerment, and helping with prioritization, and removing roadblocks. You will emphasize scalable design, performance, metric standardization, and champion security and data privacy.
Under your leadership, the team will architect, design and develop foundational data sets that are scalable and reusable; conduct code reviews at every stage of the development to ensure quality and scalability; partner with the Adobe Technology Services (ATS) team to develop processes and solutions to detect data quality issues, job failures, and data anomalies; and collaborate across, ATS, Finance, and various teams across Employee Experience teams
What you need to succeed

  • Experience managing and coaching teams
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience (e.g. reporting, data engineering)
  • Solid understanding and experience with databases and BI Tools
  • Solid experience with data transformation & ETL on large data sets
  • Experience with SQL & PowerBI (strongly preferred)
  • Deep understanding and experience working with people data (required)
  • Excellent communication skills and cross-functional partnership skills
  • Experience working with business stakeholders at all levels (individual contributor to Dir, Sr Director)
  • MS in relevant field or equivalent work experience (strongly preferred)
  • People Analytics education (undergrad, graduate, or certification) (required)
