The Mess Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking meals for employees, staff, or residents in the company mess. The role involves maintaining kitchen hygiene, managing food ingredients, and ensuring timely meal service according to menu plans and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner as per the daily menu.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining area.
Ensure proper storage of raw materials and cooked food.
Follow food safety and hygiene standards during cooking and serving.
Manage kitchen inventory and report shortages to the Mess Manager.
Supervise kitchen helpers and allocate daily duties.
Check the quality of ingredients and ensure timely preparation of meals.
Minimize food waste and control portion sizes.
Maintain utensils, kitchen equipment, and ensure regular cleaning.
