Pratt & Whitney, a Raytheon Technologies Company, is looking for a JAVA developer to join our Digital Technology (DT) Digital Manufacturing Applications team. This individual will be involved in the delivery of developing, enhancing, and implementing software solutions within Pratt & Whitney\xe2\x80\x99s enterprise Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions, as well as integrations with other enterprise products for our internal Operations customers. This role will support the development of back-end and web-based solutions, troubleshooting of problems related to PW\xe2\x80\x99s MES, resolving systems integration and compatibility issues, and supporting the application life cycle Center of Excellence. The position is based in Bangalore; India at our IDC (India Delivery Centre) due to customer locations in different time zones, customer meetings will occur outside normal business work hours.

The Digital Manufacturing team at Pratt and Whitney is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter who will be excited in delivering digital solutions within our MES & MOM enterprise platform as it relates to supporting our manufacturing sites, engine centers, and aftermarket operations worldwide. Specific focus includes the development of enhancements to our MES systems and troubleshooting production and preproduction system changes. Current strategic activities include engaging with; long-term roadmaps for MES, deploying next-gen solutions, new site implementations, and integrating with new technologies for IIOT and Industry 4.0.

Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Assisting with the understanding of internal requirements into a solution design

Technical problem solving

Production and end user support, where applicable

Supporting integration with other enterprise solutions

Working with internal/external teams and business partners, to architect and build system solutions for using the latest technologies to satisfy requirements.

Work on multiple projects simultaneously with regular reporting in a gated process

Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences

Author technical design documentation

Navigating APIs and ability to familiarize quickly with Solumina i-series SDK

Technical skills of SQL products

Technical skills working with Java, React js, and Node js

Technical skills with Docker and Kubernetes

Technical skills with Maven and Spring Boot

Understanding of GitHub repository and working in development cycles.

Ensuring compliance with RTX / PW policies & procedures

Education / Certifications:

BS degree and 5 years\' experience required; or Advanced degree and 3 years of experience required. Preferred fields of study include Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related.

Required Qualifications:

4-6+ years of relevant experience in design and development of data systems (SQL Server based on Cloud/on premise and Analytics) at enterprise scale

4-6+ years of relevant experience developing in Java and React js, Node js

Primary technical expertise in SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Tosca commander test tool

Primary technical expertise in Maven, Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes

Preferred Qualifications:

Must be hands on, deeply technical and exposure to latest features within Java, React js, node js. Able to navigate Docker, Swagger, and Kubernetes

Microsoft Certifications in SQL Server, Azure SQL database and/or related technologies

Experience in Data Visualization tools like Power BI, SSRS, or equivalent

Team player with strong follow up skills and ability to craft positive relationships

Detail oriented, analytical, and able to trace problems

Strong communication skills

Relishes orchestrating and organizing initiatives and processes

Excellent judgment and professional business maturity

Strong working knowledge Microsoft Office

Self-starter with the ability to spot potential for process improvement

Knowledge of other manufacturing solutions is a plus, but not required
