3. Vendor and Supplier Management
Source and select reliable suppliers and manufacturers.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely and quality production.
4. Production Follow-Up (for manufacturing/garment merchandisers)
Coordinate sample development and approvals (fit, color, fabric).
Track production progress to meet shipment deadlines.
Communicate regularly with factories and logistics teams for updates.
Ensure quality control and compliance with buyer standards.
5. Inventory and Stock Management
Maintain optimal stock levels across stores or warehouses.
Implement replenishment systems based on sales velocity.
Manage markdowns, promotions, and product lifecycle to maximize profitability.
6. Sales and Performance Analysis
Review sales data, sell-through rates, and margins.
Identify fast and slow-moving items and take corrective actions.
