Job Description

Job Purpose:

The MEP Technician is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted functioning of the property.

Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Systems

Maintain and repair electrical panels, wiring, lighting systems, sockets, switches, and fixtures. Monitor and maintain generators, UPS systems, and emergency power systems. Attend electrical breakdowns and ensure timely rectification. Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.

Mechanical Systems

Operate and maintain HVAC systems, air conditioners, ventilation, exhaust systems, and pumps. Conduct preventive maintenance for chillers, AHUs, FCUs, and motors. Identify faults and carry out minor repairs to mechanical equipment.

Plumbing Systems

Maintain water supply lines, drainage systems, sanitary fittings, valves, and pumps. Attend to leakages, blockages, and plumbing-related complaints promptly. Maintain hot water systems, sewage treatment plants (STP), and water treatment systems.

Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance

Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance as per maintenance plan. Record maintenance activities and update logbooks. Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.

Safety & Compliance

Follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE during work. Ensure compliance with statutory norms, fire safety, and local regulations. Support fire alarm, fire-fighting systems, and emergency drills.

Coordination & Reporting

Coordinate with other departments for maintenance requirements. Assist external contractors during major repair works. Report major faults, material requirements, and system issues to the Engineering Supervisor.

Desired Qualifications

ITI / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Plumbing / MEP or equivalent. Certification in HVAC / Electrical / Plumbing is an added advantage.

Experience

2-5 years of experience as an MEP Technician in hotels, resorts, hospitals, or commercial buildings. Experience in 4-star / 5-star hotel operations preferred.

Skills & Competencies

Good knowledge of MEP systems and hotel maintenance operations. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently. Basic understanding of BMS systems (preferred). Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Other Requirements

Physically fit to perform maintenance duties. On-call availability during emergencies. Basic computer knowledge for maintenance reporting (preferred).

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?18,000.00 per month
