For more information, visit www.gf.com Your Job: This is a full-time position for an FPGA Design Engineer to support our RF and mmWave Test team. In this role you will participate in inventing and continuously improving our systems for testing mmWave semiconductors covering cell phone, satellite, and automotive applications. You are required to work closely with hardware, mechanical, software (application and embedded) engineers within the development team to define and optimize the FPGA/CPLD system design to maximize the performance and quality with minimum cost. You will also be involved in hardware circuit design as secondary role Required Qualifications:

• Communicate with our RF Test team to understand their product requirements and develop/modify the existing FPGA design to meet the required specifications, project cost and schedule.

• Verilog/VHDL code generation, FPGA Design creation, test bench development, perform simulations.

• Assist the software team in implementing drivers and application environment for communication between software and hardware

• To drive the next generation FPGA test development road map/architecture along with sound firmware knowledge

Required Qualifications:

• Education – BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Electronics & Communication or Computer Engineering

• 9+ Years’ Experience in designing FPGAs and hands on experience with Xilinx and/or Intel FPGAs.

• Good hands-on experience in RTL coding with Verilog/VHDL

• Good user experience in Xilinx’s ISE/Vivado/SDK

• Experience with major simulation tools such as Mentor QuestaSim or Synopsys VCS.

• Experience with Xilinx FPGA devices such as Virtex 7/Ultrascale is a plus.

• Hardware/System design, strong debug and lab experience is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills and demonstrate the desire to tackle diverse challenges.

• Travel – (1% travel required)

• Language Fluency – English

• Physical Capacity Demands – ability to use a computer

• Available for onsite work in Bangalore India

Preferred Qualifications:

• PhD in EE, CS or Computer engineering

• Experience with SystemVerilog verification including UVM/OVM environments and constrained randomization.

• Experience with High speed GigaBit transceivers

• Hands on experience with electrical bench equipment; DMM’s, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzers, etc.
