10-15 years in clinical practice & hospital administration (with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role)
Qualification:
MBBS with MD/MS/Equivalent postgraduate degree + Hospital Administration training (MHA/MDHA preferred)
Job Summary:
The Medical Superintendent (MS) will be responsible for the overall clinical and administrative management of the hospital, ensuring quality patient care, efficient functioning of departments, and compliance with medical and legal standards. The role involves close coordination with hospital leadership, doctors, and staff to achieve institutional goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day hospital administration and clinical services.
Ensure high-quality patient care standards across all departments.
Supervise and coordinate medical, paramedical, and support staff activities.
Develop and implement hospital policies, protocols, and SOPs.
Ensure compliance with statutory, medico-legal, and accreditation requirements (NABH/NABL/JCI).
Monitor patient safety initiatives, infection control, and quality assurance programs.
Liaise with government authorities, healthcare bodies, and regulatory agencies.
Manage manpower planning, duty rosters, and performance evaluations of clinical staff.
Work with the management team on budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control.
Handle medical ethics, grievances, and disciplinary matters in consultation with senior leadership.
Drive continuous improvement and capacity-building initiatives.
