Job Purpose
Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary medical care and emergency response for plant workforce (~6,000 employees).
• Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and fitness-to-work medical examinations.
• Implement occupational health surveillance (audiometry, spirometry, etc.).
• Maintain statutory compliance under Factories Act & State Rules (medical registers, certifications).
• Manage Occupational Health Centre (OHC) operations: staff, medicines, equipment, ambulance readiness.
• Coordinate with Certifying Surgeon for hazardous process fitness and statutory certifications.
• Lead health awareness programs (PPE use, ergonomics, lifestyle disease prevention).
• Ensure emergency preparedness and participate in drills.
• Liaise with nearby hospitals for referrals and tie-ups.
• Prepare monthly health reports and compliance dashboards for management.
