Job Title: Medical Affairs Specialist Purpose of the position: In this position the associate will play a critical role in interfacing with Leica Microsystems\xe2\x80\x99 Global and India marketing teams as well as directly with customers by providing them clinical information, recommended usage and other related information. The incumbent of this role will define the next generation of LMS products for India, and in design and managing clinical studies of current and incipient LMS products. The incumbent will work closely and interact regularly with the global BU team. The incumbent will present LMS technology in various formats (oral presentations, written Med/Sci Affairs documents, publications, webinars, videos, etc.) to all stakeholders, including internal groups such as Sales, Marketing, Tech Support, etc. and external groups such as regional, national, and international scientific meetings, KOLs, customers, and prospective customers. The Medical Affairs Specialist will liaise with the healthcare and/or scientific communities to support the market introduction/penetration of the organization\'s products by providing clinical information, recommended usage and other related information. The incumbent will partner with external scientific/clinical organizations/individuals to further product application, industry position, and market penetration. They must be a recognized external expert in area of specialty- including but not limited to pre-, intra- and post-surgery duties within a hospital. They should have experience in preparing operating room for surgery, set up, check, connect and adjust surgical equipment, technical assistance to surgeons. This position requires it incumbent to be an externally-oriented medical professional who assists with focus on the assessment and development of new technologies and the role of the organization in the field/industry who is well versed with Medical terminology, Medical law/ethics, medical emergencies, Anaesthesia and premedication, Workflow of OT equipment, Surgical techniques, Various body systems and common pathologies, Common drugs used in OT Key Responsibilities:\xef\xbb\xbf Be part of the perioperative team who is responsible for the care of the patient before, during, and after surgery. Operating room nurses and doctors rely heavily on the assistance of operating theatre technicians. It will be proactively taking ownership to ensure the patient\'s well-being and comfort during surgery, as well as to prepare and monitor any equipment used to aid the surgeon. In addition to assisting the surgeon during procedures, will be responsible for preparation and sanitation of all Leica instruments and drapes used in the operating room. Care for drugs, anesthetic gases, drapes, and upkeep of features of Leica instruments needed during surgery while assisting the specialist. To prove effective and efficient features that enable beter paitient outcome for surgeon with a variety of tasks.
