Job Description

A Mechanical Engineer for Wind Energy projects manages the installation, execution, and maintenance of wind turbines, focusing on component assembly (hub, nacelle, blades), torqueing, alignment, and troubleshooting, requiring a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, strong safety focus, and OEM experience, ensuring optimal turbine performance and project success in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:

• Project Execution: Oversee and execute mechanical aspects of wind turbine installation and commissioning.
• Technical Oversight: Ensure precise bolt tightening, torqueing, and alignment of all components.
• Inspections & Maintenance: Conduct mechanical inspections of nacelle, hub, and blades; perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Safety: Champion strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures on-site.
• Collaboration: Work closely with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) for technical guidance and best practices.
• Design/Analysis (For some roles): Contribute to component design, using tools like CAD (Creo), Ansys, FEA, and analyze performance data.

Essential Qualifications:

• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 5+ years in Mechanical Engineering, specifically within the wind energy sector (installation, maintenance, project management).
• Technical Skills: Proficient in WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) mechanical processes, bolt basics, gear/yaw systems, torqueing, and alignment.
• Software: Familiarity with CAD (Creo) and analysis tools (Ansys) is often preferred.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and project management skills.
