Experience

3-5 years of factory maintenance experience
(Experience in pellet plant / biomass / power / cement / heavy engineering industries preferred)

Role Overview

The Mechanical Engineer - Maintenance will be responsible for ensuring high equipment availability by effectively managing mechanical breakdowns, minimizing downtime, and maintaining all mechanical equipment in the plant. This is a hands-on role focused on preventive maintenance and quick resolution of mechanical issues.

Key Responsibilities

Respond immediately to machine breakdowns and ensure minimum downtime Conduct root cause analysis of recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities Maintain critical equipment including hammer mill, pellet mill, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and motors Coordinate with production and shift teams during breakdown situations Plan, manage, and monitor spares, consumables, and critical inventory Maintain breakdown logs, maintenance records, and reports Ensure proper lubrication schedules and overall mechanical health of machines Implement improvements to reduce frequent failures and unplanned stoppages Ensure strict adherence to safety practices during maintenance activities

Skills & Requirements

Strong hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance Proven expertise in breakdown handling and plant troubleshooting Ability to work under pressure and during odd hours, if required Good understanding of rotating equipment and material handling systems Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?50,000.00 per month
