Job Description


1. Provide technological leadership to the team. Set strategic direction & lead the Function towards meeting current and future information and technology needs of the Company

2. Drive focus on digital technologies and work towards identifying ways to leverage restaurant and digital technologies for creating competitive advantage

3. Encourage adoption of best practices in the field of technology and alignment with global standards and policies

4. Review enterprise systems architecture; approve standards and protocols for data exchange, communications, software and interconnection of information systems

5. Review and govern policies and procedures to ensure the protection of enterprise IT assets and the integrity, security and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by the enterprise

6. Approve new application development projects for various enterprise & application domains and IT acquisition contracts

7. Approve aspects related to the selection, acquisition, deployment of application, hardware and networking infrastructure

8. Govern IT procurement standards and processes for enterprise software.

9. Guide IT managers in ensuring adherence to procurement and planning requirements, compliance with budget procedures and technological activities of the organization

10. Make certain that solution design and delivery meet business requirements and expectations regarding cost, schedule and scope

11. Closely Track return on investments on IT initiatives

12. Govern implementation of all strategic projects and drive mechanisms to ensure successful implementation. Share project status updates with all key stakeholders and highlight any critical delays / impact

13. Approve selection of external partners for all new digital technologies and strategic vendors for other IT products and services

14. Establish governance mechanisms for close functioning and alignment of IT team with business operations, Marketing and RSG. Essentially enable the IT team towards becoming business partners/ change agents for operations and other functions

Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency :

15. Establish IT risk assessment frameworks and drive initiatives to achieve operational excellence

16. Monitor feedback on the service standards from the internal customers and devise the action plan to enhance the quality of service / to correct the shortcomings, continually improve operations and streamline work processes

People Management :

- Set clear and objective goals / key responsibilities for the team

1. Drive performance of team members and provide feedback on an ongoing basis

2. Co-Facilitate identification and delivery of key learning & development goals (functional and behavioral)

3. Actively work on team engagement practices and programs

4. Identify, groom and reward high performers and future leaders in the function

5. Cultivate a culture of excellence and process improvement
