In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for the timely placement of purchase orders and delivery of materials to meet planning/scheduling production and inventory control for raw materials and/or finished goods within approved guidelines. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also coordinate the commercialization of new products/packaging and may occasionally plan/schedule production on a need as basis. We\xe2\x80\x99ll looking for a candidate with exception planning experience that has a passion for the details and problem solving.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do for Us

Collaborates with supply chain management in the plants managing the communication of Planner/ Buyers and the plants attending operational meetings and provide support.

Investigates Materials At Risks and alerts relevant buyers and plant leadership as needed

Participates and occasionally leads packaging optimization or ingredient defect problem solving initiatives.

Meet with QA and Production representative and updates internal reporting.

Follow up on approvals and completion of hard allocation requests and \xe2\x80\x9cmaterial to material\xe2\x80\x9d conversion requests.

Attends supply risks, supplier changes or supply point changes with a status of critical and missing ingredients.

Collaborates with Buyers and planning team members in the execution of various cost savings initiatives.

Executes periodic supplier relationship and internal meeting activities to improve service to the production team.

Manage standard plant reporting that includes purchase orders, ingredient availability, invoicing, component availability and stock reports.

Managing activities with suppliers to ensure compliance with company policies (e.g. audits) and legal compliance (MSA Modification Letters, Price schedules, UISS letters, NDAs, Material Transfer, insurance certificates, etc.). As well as updating key performance metrics, tools, and data systems and updating pricing and supplier data in databases.

Qualifications & Requirements

Associates or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business, Finance or related field.

2+ years of experience of procurement, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, data analytics, and/or data management experience.

Exceptional business communication skills, including negotiations.

Ability to plan materials and service requirements in order to support ongoing business.

Knowledge of demand forecasting techniques and inputs (e.g. business trends, seasonality, consumption patterns).

Appreciation for the importance that master data plays in driving the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) process. Must have ability to identify gaps in master data that are driving sub-optimal MRP results.

Optimize inventory levels using statistical models to design min/max/re-order levels. Knowledge of asset management procedures, policies and information used to optimize inventory levels and/or fill rates (e.g., balance inventory levels against inventory carrying costs).

Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with mathematical concepts.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
