We are hiring! DESIGNATION: Manufacturing Manager EXPERIENCE : 5 to 8 years in Aerospace LOCATION:Tambaram (MEPZ) Please find the below JD for your kind review 1. Process improvement: Developing and implementing methods to improve manufacturing processes, increase productivity, and reduce costs. This involves analyzing production workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to streamline operations. 2. Designing and implementing manufacturing systems: Collaborating with product designers and other engineering teams to develop and implement efficient manufacturing systems. This includes selecting appropriate equipment, designing assembly lines, and determining optimal production layouts. 3. Quality control and assurance: Developing and implementing quality control processes to ensure that manufactured products meet specifications and quality standards. This includes conducting inspections, implementing testing protocols, and analyzing production data to identify and address quality issues. 4. Automation and technology integration: Evaluating and implementing automation solutions and technologies to improve manufacturing efficiency. This may involve implementing robotics, machine vision systems, or advanced manufacturing technologies to optimize production processes. 5. Manufacturing documentation: Creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation such as work instructions, process specifications, and standard operating procedures. This documentation ensures consistency, repeatability, and training of manufacturing processes. 6. Product and process troubleshooting: Analyzing and resolving problems that arise during the manufacturing process. This may involve diagnosing equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes of defects, and implementing corrective actions. 7. Supplier management: Collaborating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components and materials and maintaining strong relationships. This includes evaluating supplier performance, negotiating contracts, and resolving any supply chain issues. 8. Continuous improvement: Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and implementing Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. This involves analyzing data, measuring performance metrics, and implementing strategies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. 9. Health and safety compliance: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and implementing safety protocols to protect employees and minimize workplace accidents. 10. Project management: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan and execute manufacturing projects. This involves coordinating resources, setting project timelines, and monitoring progress to ensure timely and successful project completion.
