  • Process Engineers, Manufacturing engineers / technicians, Special Process experts, Industrial Costing Manager, Tooling Engineer, Layout Engineer.

  • Product Engineering Manager, Advance Industrialisation, Donor site.
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
  • Manage Process Engineering during development phase of the product and perform PME manager role after Industrialisation.
  • Ensure the process is designed and implemented in line with the industrial requirements and the QCD objectives of the project.
  • Is the main industrialization contact for all other functions of the project, and thus represent PME department within the project.
During specification and preliminary design phases:
  • Make sure that Industrial requirements are well understood and taken into account by Engineering, during product specification and design. Effectively drive and run the Design Review meetings and ensure Design for Manufacturing.
  • Monitor concurrent engineering activities with his Engineering counterpart.
  • Design the global macroprocess, based on standard Manufacturing Practices.
  • Prepare introduction of new technologies if need be, with associated process validation plan.
  • Review and enhance the plan for tooling and other specific manufacturing equipment.
  • Review and enhance the IMP (Industrial Management Plan) to decide the requirements to setup manufacturing infrastructure with right capacities.
  • Set up the industrialization planning including all activities: Concurrent engineering activities, PFMEA, deliverables milestones, First Article review and Inspection.
  • Review and enhance the IMFU (Industrial Maturity Followup) with detailed list of Toolings and infrastructure (EMFU) with timelines to plan, procure and commission.
  • Set up and monitor the Industrialization Work Package: Man hours and manufacturing equipment budget.
During detailed design phase and before Serial Go:
  • Manage the industrialization activity using right process documents.
  • Review and enhance PFMEA.
  • Ensure that industrial documentation is issued in due time with the good quality level.
  • Participate to validation of prototypes if any.
  • Monitor the process cycle times vs target.
  • Ensure the availability of tools and workstations on schedule and consistent with EHS requirements, ergonomics and quality.
  • Lead First Article Review and inspection activities in order to validate product design and process industrialization.
  • Provide due feedback to Engineering based on the Pre Serial Manufactuing and ensure the changes are implemetned in design.
  • Deploy effective Change managenet process and with right Engineering change releases to manufacturing site.
After serial Go:
  • Manage industrialization of the retrofit after engineering changes.
  • Contribute to build continuous improvement action plan along with Production to achieve manufacturing QCD targets.
Other activities:
  • Contributes to industrial costing.
  • Perform industrial REX on manufacturing processes.

Education:
  • BE/ME in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE
  • Deep dive and lead quality issues in Motor Manufacturing processes
  • Lead & Establish Process capability on manufacturing processes
  • Experience in preparation of Machine specification documents for manufacturing
  • Performing Machine Inspection, trials at supplier and machine clearance and ensuring and aligning with Project requirements
  • Machine Installation and commissioning at shop. ( In line with project deadlines)
  • Layout design and Capacity planning.
  • Active in process design for manufacturing based on design drawings from Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge on NPI Stage Gate process (APQP is a must)
  • Manufacturing Engineering/Process Engineering background with minumi 15 years of experience preferably in Auto or railway industry.
  • Experience in General Assembly process.
  • Technical experience of Process Engineering, developing manufacturing work instructions, line balancing.
  • Design Review Skills with experience in deploying DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly)
  • Experience in Reading/Preparing Engineering Drawing with GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerance)
  • Knowledge of Jigs and Fixture Design/Manufacturing
  • Productivity improvement and Cost saving techniques
  • Lean Manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma tools.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration followup
  • Working knowledge in Quality, EHS standards and Ergonomics.
  • Knowledge of CAD and PLM tools (CATIA, DELMIA...)
  • Familiar with IT common tools.
  • Process FMEA, 8D/ QRQC.
EXPERIENCE / SKILL SET
  • Experience in Manufacturing / Process Engineering, Fixture design and manufacturing: Minimum 15 years
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English language,
  • Experience in motor manufacturing industry is Mandatory
