Key missions of the position:

  • Lead Bid management to ensure preparation and submission of compliant Techno-Commercial proposals pertaining to tenders floated by Indian Railways Production Units & Private customers BEML, BHEL, RITES, MEDHA, OTHERS
  • Manage the coordination & submission of timely responses to all queries raised by RDSO/Lucknow for the OE Indian Railways Business
Responsibilities
  • Preparation of techno commercial offers in consultation with various internal departments such as Finance, Purchase, Production and R&D and submit the same against respective tenders in IREPS portal for all the tenders being floated by Production Units of IR
  • Capturing the tender opening results and communicate the same effectively to respective regional sales team for further follow up for conversion to orders
  • Ensure correctness in orders received from different customers and inform regional offices for any discrepancies so that timely amendments are sought from respective customers for smooth execution
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as SCM, Production, Quality and Commercial for planning to ensure smooth and timely execution of orders
  • Keep of a track of tenders quoted, orders received, orders executed, amendments required, forthcoming tenders, invoices raised, payments received, BG's submitted and all related activities pertaining to sales
  • Regular update and maintenance of CRM tool for all applicable market opportunities
  • Prepare presentation relating to business cases, order intake, execution etc as per needs of the business
  • Support in preparing budget and STRAP for the coming years for OE Indian Railways business
  • Extend all necessary support to regional teams for effective customer engagement and timely resolution of customer needs, queries
  • Implement all practices and guidelines in Tender management as per the IRIS/ISO audit documents
  • Manage and maintain MIS for Order Intake, Sales, Orders on Hand, Payment received, outstanding payments etc
  • Write request letters to Production Units seeking required amendments and DP Extensions against the orders placed by them
  • Prepare Monthly sales forecast and review the same with SCM for monthly DMP review meetings.
  • Interact proactively with Engineering, Quality and Field service teams for submission of timely & qualitative responses to RDSO
Any other work as advised by Reporting Manager in view of the organization's requirement

People Management: No ; Budget Management: No

Education/Training
  • Graduation in Engineering (Mechanical or Production stream) is a must.
  • Master's Degree or Diploma in Business Administration will be an advantage
Professional Experience

How many years of professional experience in a specific professional area are required for the position? Should have at least 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in Bid Management. Should have hands on experience on IREPS, Salesforce, CRM, MS Office. Candidate from rail industry is desired.

Competence & Level

MS Office (specifically Excel and Power Point) :Proficient

Knowledge on Indian Railway tendering system: Proficient

Knowledge on RDSO approval processes:Mid Level

Knowledge on Indian Railway Procurement Processes: Mid Level

Languages: English and Hindi must. Telugu and Tamil will be an advantage.
