Description

The Infrastructure Operations Specialist focuses upon administration of central and/or local data centres, legacy and/or centralized infrastructure, standards and requirements and provides support for the availability of Vodafone IT applications and Data Centre activities and database environments. The Infrastructure Operations Specialist has a good understanding of established concepts and procedures in internal network infrastructure, data availability and technical support for customers (internal and external) gained through extensive practical experience and works with colleagues to monitor hardware and software in datacentres, and execute event/incident, configuration, escalation, release, deployment and 3rd party database management activities. Typically reports to the Infrastructure Operations Manager. The Infrastructure Operations Specialist has a good understanding of established concepts and procedures in internal network infrastructure, data availability and technical support for customers (internal and external) gained through extensive practical experience and works with the colleagues to deliver monitoring of HWandSW in datacentres, and executing event/incident, configuration, escalation, release, deployment and 3rd party database management activities. Job Responsibility

• Very thorough and clear understanding of Oracle Database Architecture - including the latest version of Oracle.
• Extensive knowledge and solid troubleshooting experience in the following areas
  • RAC, ASM, Exadata, Performance tuning, Data Guard
• Extensive hands-on experience in database migration.
• Experience with Oracle database provisioning and cloning techniques, Oracle Standby Database Server deployments and Oracle Backup Design Planning.
• An OCI certified candidate with a strong background and understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and technology as well as experience in designing and migrating databases to the cloud.
• Backup and Restoration of databases on Oracle cloud.
• Creating and managing Autonomous database.
• Creating and managing Object storage and file storage.
• Scaling of the storage and shapes.
• Dataguard configuration on OCI .
• Create compute instances with different versions (e.g. 12.1,12.2,19c).
• Management of Compartment and backup management from console.
