Job Description


Manage planning & procurement of all the relevant materials required in Hyderabad plant
Manage and continuously optimize inventory levels according to business targets.
Provide the procurement forecast to internal & external suppliers and calculate the forecast variation.
Manage and continually improve external supplier services levels (ESSR and ISSR) for relevant items and ensure that there is no rupture
due to non \xe2\x80\x93 availability of materials.
Monitor safety stock levels weekly.
Manage all relevant supplier communication, related to quality, delivery, payments etc from the plant.
Attend SIM review meetings for the product.

Procurement forecasts:
Receive monthly rolling forecasts from distribution centre. Based on the
Forecasts, run sales and operations planning programme between 25th to 28th of every month . Validate the material requirement reports and confirm that the plan is effective and would cater to the market requirements.
Attending project review meetings to have better visibility of future requirements.

Vendor Forecasts:
Support the vendors to plan their quarterly /Half yearly deliverables to the Hyderabad plant by generating and releasing the Vendor forecasting reports to all vendors between 1st to 5th of every month.
Calculate the forecast variation on a monthly basis. Full Forecast variation as per SPS guidelines
Purchase Order Generation

Generate purchase orders based on material requirement plan. Verify purchase order details like quantity, value, vendor, details, tax structure, and specification codes. Choose the best and cost effective mode of transport to control freight budgets. Take the order acknowledgement for all the orders placed within 2 days from date of PO.
Update the suppliers with design specification changes and ensure that the supplies are as per the revised designs Full ESSR, ISSR

Inventory control:

Maintain inventory value and \xe2\x80\x98Days Inventory\xe2\x80\x99 as per targets. Monitor stock levels on daily basis. Plan for procurement based on purchasing lead time current inventory status and production requirements. Reschedule the delivery of materials depending on stock levels and production changes.
Ensure availability of safety stocks of all items of the product as per logistics parameter. Ensure that there are no production ruptures due to non availability of parts or sub \xe2\x80\x93 assembly materials.
Review the safety stock parameters on a quarterly basis. Full Inventory value

Optimization of Mode of Transportation
Review the air/sea decision tool on a quarterly basis and place orders as per the mode of transport defined in air/sea tool. Full Air/Sea ratio
Supplier Service Improvement:
Interact with key suppliers periodically and appraise them about their services.
Drive action plans to improve service rating of the most impacting suppliers.
Receives inputs from quality on supplier performance on parts quality and offer feedback to the suppliers. Work with the suppliers to maintain lead time as per agreed purchase contract. Intimate suppliers about any LNCs and ensure that their closure. Partial ESSR, ISSR

This position requires to be well versed in SAP operations as the position holder needs to do the material requirement planning activity through SAP. While there are no direct reportees to this position, the position holder would have to frequently interact with the suppliers and get them to effective deliver the products and services. Ability to converse well in the local language with the suppliers would be very important. Liaison with Technical team and marketing team to have a clear understanding of customer requirements.

Qualifications

Engineering in Mechanical or Electrical engineering with 8 yrs
Manufacturing process flow of electrical industry: Relevant market knowledge, especially of LV products
Relevant updated knowledge of supply chain processes
Basic computing knowledge is a must
Ability to read, write and speak in English
Ability to speak in Hindi and Telugu
Analytical skills
Ability to understand specific customer requirements related to LV products
Knowledge of SAP
