Role Overview We are looking for a product focused Specialist to lead product strategy, delivery and adoption for Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain IT solutions that accelerate manufacturing/quality digitization maturity and operational efficiency across Animal Health's global manufacturing organization. This role owns the product lifecycle for Quality Control Laboratory platforms (e.g., ELN/LIMS, instrument integration, data management, collaboration, analytics), translates business needs into prioritized roadmaps, and partners closely with lab analysts and stakeholders, IT engineering, data teams and vendors to deliver compliant, user centered solutions. What will you do
Sets the product vision, roadmaps, and strategy, ensuring value and user experience are measured and achieved.
Owns the product vision, roadmap and backlog for QC Lab IT solutions, aligning priorities with QC lab analysts and leadership needs, regulatory requirements and enterprise IT strategy.
Creates, maintains, and continuously prioritizes the product backlog to maximize value delivery and long-term sustainability
Engage deeply with lab analysts and stakeholders, IT and data science teams to elicit needs, define use cases and measure value realization.
Translate complex workflows into clear product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria; oversee prioritization and sequencing of features.
Collaborate with IT engineering, architecture, QA and DevOps to deliver iterative releases using Agile practices; serve as product owner in sprint ceremonies as needed.
Define product metrics and KPIs (adoption, time-to-result, data quality, user satisfaction) and use them to inform roadmap decisions and demonstrate ROI.
Ensure product solutions meet regulatory, data governance and security standards relevant to Manufacturing and Quality (auditability, metadata capture, GMP/GxP considerations where applicable).
Champion data interoperability and integration strategies across systems, data lakes/warehouses and analytics platforms to enable reproducible, robust and reliable QC performance.
Manage release planning, deployment coordination and postimplementation support/continuous improvement activities.
What Should you have:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, Life Sciences, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
6+ years of experience in product management, program management, or product owner roles within Quality IT or life sciences technology; senior specialist/architect level experience preferred.
Domain knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality technologies such as QMS, ELN, LIMS (Labware highly preferred), sample inventory, instrument integration, assay data management and laboratory automation platforms.
Strong understanding of electronic workflows, data lifecycle in Manufacturing and Quality, and requirements for reproducibility, metadata, and lineage.
Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and Handson product ownership (writing user stories, acceptance criteria, prioritizing backlogs).
Proven experience managing vendor relationships and implementing commercial research platforms.
Good knowledge of regulatory and compliance considerations relevant to Manufacturing and Quality IT (audit trails, controlled access, data retention).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to bridge user and technical audiences.
Willingness to work at Hyderabad site supporting all regions around the globe; ability to travel domestically or internationally up to ~15% (as needed).
Preferred qualifications
Prior experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, animal health, or other regulated life sciences environments.
Experience with user research, UX design practices, and driving adoption through training and outreach.
Certifications in product management, Agile/Scrum, or relevant cloud technologies.
