Job Description


The Manager for Technical Change Orders is responsible for the cross functional support and management of individual contributors in the TCO group. The primary function of the TCO group is to deliver functional changes to study specific Clario software and systems used by a client in the conduct of a study/clinical trial. This will include from time to time assisting in the internal project management and staffing of study management and operational activities within Clario TCO group. including the facilitation of communication and negotiation within the development, test and deployment teams, maintenance of the project schedule and reporting of project status. Part of the role is to deliver Clario products and services in an effective and efficient way, to deliver best practice outcomes. The TCO Manager serves as an escalation point for issues pertaining to TCOs in study delivery or operational matters. Manage TCO resources to assure appropriate study specific outcomes. Manage escalations and participate internally and externally as required. Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders across the business to ensure visibility of potential risks and issues. Provide input for budget preparation and management. Understand and embrace the regulatory requirements of the business. Maintains and where appropriate improve upon appropriate SOP and SWIs for eCOA Study Delivery. Ensure appropriate training is done for SOPs & SWIs; holding team members accountable for operating in accordance with departmental SOPs and SWIs. Help identify and implement new tools, processes or enhancements which could increase the efficiency of the business. Management Consolidated Project Reports on all Ongoing Studies - Demonstrated ability to successfully complete tasks in this competency as requested; Manage and/or support progress reporting by other individual contributors; and creates overall progress and effort reports. Implement project management processes and supports the various teams in utilizing them. Department Strategy and Processes - Must have a common knowledge or an understanding of basic techniques and concepts; Drive departmental strategies aligned to support Corporate Goals and positions tactical plans to ensure delivery excellence Manage strategic service and technology business partnerships Design and implement continuous process improvement, including related SOPs/SWIs Mentorship - Demonstrated ability to successfully complete tasks in this competency as requested; Ability to pass on experience and expertise. Support new team members and pass on knowledge about products and services to others in general. Mentor staff for the execution of their duties. Mentor staff for the execution of their project and its impact on the study to monitor effort, schedule, and technical performance. Ensure and support high staff engagement, develop and support staff with regular career development planning. Education : BS, BA IT related, scientific or technical education/degree or equivalent experience. Experience : Minimum of 4 years of Management/Supervisory experience preferred with ability to lead a team with remote team members. 5-10 years experience in managing projects in a multi project environment. 5+ years design / implementation / consulting experience of distributed applications. Experience in Technical Project Management matters and overall technical insight. Sound technology and/or services related experience Experience in Project Life Cycle. Understanding of Software Development Process. Experience in database queries and/or data schemas. Basic experience in Good Manufacturing Practice documentation especially in project initialization and engineering documentation. Ability to self-develop. Ability to read and understand documentation in English language. Strong Problem Solving, communication and teamwork skills. Ability to travel up to 25%
