Summary of Key Functions: As a Consultant (FPOs), the person will be responsible for supporting the agriculture department in formation and strengthening the governance system of FPOs promoted by TSF in Odisha and Jharkhand. Duties and Responsibilities: The consultants (FPOs) will be based in Jamshedpur and travel to all project area locations /operating units of TSF and shall work under the guidance and supervision of the Head Agriculture, Tata Steel Foundation. The Consultant (FPO) Will Be Responsible For To develop an FPO data repository for the department for analysis and policy inputs in developing FPOs across the units of Jharkhand & Odisha, Micro and macro level assessment of the commodity-specific value chain (agriculture, horticulture, livestock, and other allied sectors, etc.) Provide a technical platform on the collectivization process, access to the market, access to finance, building institutions, registration, and compliance processes for FPO. Provide technical web-based support for effective operationalization of FPOs policy and to act as a bridging platform with NABARD, SFAC, and NCDC at the state and national levels and facilitate partnerships with various entities. Conduct desk research to identify and collage existing content on the availability of selected commodities, fluctuations in prices, and market demand of already selected commodities in a selected geography. Conduct a supply chain assessment for FPOs. Preparing web-based marketing strategies for FPOs. Developing and implementing marketing strategies based on the analysis of backward & forward integration plans for the value chain. Travel to all operating locations of TSF for supporting project team for formation of FPO processes and building capacities of team members. Any other requirement regarding FPO Promotions and Stabilisation requiring web intervention to be assigned by Head Agriculture is to be complied with. Ensure Converging with various state and central government schemes towards establishing backward and forward linkages. Liaison with relevant government agencies and all project partners for effective functioning of FPOs .
