Title: Manager, Store Design

Reporting to: Director, Store Design

Overview:

The Manager of Store Design will work closely with Director of Store Design to lead the design execution of new and remodeled stores in support of VS&Co\'s Real Estate strategy. This role produces clear and comprehensive store designs that maintain design consistency and integrity while delivering projects on time and in budget.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all aspects of design for new stores and remodels, maintaining design guidelines and standards
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure designs and drawings are consistent, include the necessary components for store operations, incorporate job site best practices, and maintain design integrity
• Foster ongoing relationships with vendors and suppliers to keep abreast of new technologies and alternative materials and finishes
• Direct the activities of outside architects to execute schematic design and design development packages; review vendor drawings to ensure consistency with design concept from preliminary submission to shop drawings
• Transform complex concepts into brand appropriate, concrete designs
• Generate new ideas for concepts including store architecture, fixtures, storefronts, lighting, layouts, and space planning
• Interpret landlord packages
• Support Director of Store Design with preparing presentations, status reports, and work assignments
• Travel to project sites to oversee design execution and existing stores for design research, as needed
• Oversee a team of designers providing coaching, guidance, development, and prioritization of work
• Attend weekly meetings and work collaboratively with regional and US teams

• Bachelors degree in architecture or interior design from an accredited institution
• 7+ years experience of retail design in a corporate environment or a design consultancy firm
• Prior management experience preferred
• Displays a high level of technical expertise in AutoCAD, InDesign, SketchUp, Enscape, Photoshop, Word, and Excel
• High proficiency in sketching, rendering, and presentation skills to clearly communicate ideas
• Has knowledge of new materials and design techniques through industry publications and activity
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize work/projects for self and team to meet budgets and stay on schedule
• Self-motivated and strong communication skills
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally to stores/construction sites
