Job Description
Key area and expertise that our client (leading firm in manufacturing) is looking in the ideal candidate is: Planning & Organizing procurement of all raw materials (HMS Scrap, Pig Iron, DRI, Ferro Alloys, Fluxes etc.) based on Plants consumption requirements. Location of Work-Pune Work week- 5 days Leading firm in Iron and Steel Manufacturing Minimum Requirements Education & Relevant Experience : highly preferred B Tech (Metallurgy ) / MBA 10-15 years experience in Raw material procurement in EAF Steel making Units Business Understanding Sound knowledge of markets, sources, vendors for procurement of raw materials at competitive rates. I Innovative ideas to introduce cheaper raw materials for cost optimization Competencies : Knowledge and Skills (Functional Only) Level Required Sound knowledge of Markets, Sources, Vendors in Import & domestic market for procurement of raw materials - HMS Scrap , Pig Iron, DRI, Ferro Alloys, Fluxes etc Expert Sound knowledge of sourcing of cheaper Ni /Mo based scrap - Import & domestic Expert Participation in On-line auction for procurement of scrap User Market awareness on Prices, understanding on factors influencing prices, forecasts etc User Vendor development / Direct sources /First souces - replacement /introduction of cheaper scrap for Cost Optimisation User
