As a Manager of Software Engineering in Consumer & Community Banking in Architecture & Engineering team, you lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team\'s work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.

Job responsibilities

• Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
• Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
• Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
• Manages stakeholder relationships and the team\'s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
• Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation
• Bachelor\'s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in backend systems development in Unix/Linux

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• 5+ years of experience in installation and management of Big Data Platforms (Cloudera and Hortonworks). Solid experience with Technology Refresh activities especially with End of Life Hardware and Software leveraging in-place and side-car approach.
• 2+ years of solid experience in Cloud technologies (Preferably certified in AWS) S3, Data Lake Formation, Glue, Athena, Redshift, EMR, Kinesis, EC2, DynamoDB, & SageMaker
• Solid experience with resiliency on Big Data Platforms with DLM / BDR. . Solid experience with Automation as a Code, Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Git, ServiceNow. Experience designing and managing large scale PB data technologies
• Solid working experience with Hadoop, Hive-Tez, Yarn, Java, Spark, Kafka, Python. Thorough understanding of spark framework and tuning of spark applications. Extensive experience with horizontally scalable and highly available system design and implementation, with focus on performance and resiliency
• Extensive experience profiling, debugging data on complex distributed systems. Extensive knowledge on Moving data between various platforms like Hadoop / Hive / S3 / RDBMS
• Willingness to commit extra effort to meet deadlines as required on a high profile and business critical project
• Experience in building SRE team and operations from scratch
