Job Description


Visa partners with internal and external stakeholders for championing security in the markets and maintaining the integrity of the digital payments\' ecosystem. With the increased regulatory oversight in some of the markets, Visa is keen to strengthen its Regulatory, Statutory, Legal and Supervisory team by hiring regulatory and compliance specialist in the market. The candidate will be the main point of contact managing various internal and external compliances for Visa. The candidate should be able to provide upcoming regulatory roadmap and its impact of various strategic initiatives being undertaken by Visa business and product teams. The candidate will also be expected to share regulatory risks faced, impact of new regulations, respond to queries from regulators in the market, fulfill data requests, support regulatory projects and any audits required. The candidate be a critical partner to the business, providing pragmatic solutions-oriented advice to support Visa clients to track their fraud performance, evaluate risks, implement processes for enhance cyber security, IT and process controls. Key Responsibilities The key responsibility of the candidate will be to protect Visa by managing Regulatory, Statutory, Legal and Supervisory Risk across various functions for India and South Asia markets, including Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Maldives. Some of them include tracking and monitoring of all submissions pertaining to the below obligations: RBI and Payments regulatory bodies obligations (including licensing obligations) FIU and AML related obligations POSH and people and HR related obligations Facilities and local physical premise related obligations Inter-company related obligations, including outsourcing obligations Product approvals and internal compliances Incident management related obligations Companies Act and Controllership based obligations Assisting in various internal and external audits The resource will also help Visa teams with the following: . Ensure that regulatory requests are addressed in a timely and consistent manner. . Partner with business and functional teams to engage with government stakeholders, to foster sound conditions to operate across the region, obtain Visa operating licenses in key markets (as necessary), and maintain compliance with requirements to secure/renew Visa\'s local operating licenses. . Create insights on regulatory and supervisory topics for effective business response and mature risk governance practices in the region to support supervisory engagements and to manage the growing interest from multiple regulators . Propose metrics to ensure an on-going measurement of goals and desirable outcomes from the different stakeholders. . Coordinate with regional subject-matter experts to develop new responses as needed. . Maintain documentation on regulatory requests supported and responses provided. . Provide regular and ongoing reporting, metrics and information related to regulatory and supervisory management. .Closely work with issue owners to close audit/inspection recommendations This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs. Qualifications What you will need: . Bachelor\'s Degree (or equivalent) . 8+ years of relevant experience in one of the following functions: Corporate/Risk Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Regulatory Management, Legal or related areas . Awareness of regulator management (direct or indirect) . Understanding of current and emerging regulatory and compliance obligation in India South Asia . Experience in preparing and reviewing/delivering executive level communications . Positive, proactive and solution oriented - a problem solver who finds ways to overcome challenges and get things done What will also help: . You should awareness of local regulations and guidelines . You should have sound knowledge of compliance challenges in the digital payments industry . You should possess a high level of self-motivation, initiative and operate effectively as a team player . You should have Excellent written, verbal communications skills and ability to synthesize information and make clear, concise recommendations . You should be capable of leading meetings, delivering presentations, and comfortably interacting with all levels of Visa management . Strong analytical, organizational and presentation skills . Ability to multi-task and pursue multiple initiatives simultaneously Projects you will be a part of: You will part of regulatory enquiries, projects and engagement with relevant internal and external stakeholders on the compliance matters.
