The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

Responsible for the delivery of all outcomes to support Regional / Country performance requirements. Provide value add through comprehensive understanding of financials, business context and analysis to support their decision making and strategic development.

Strategy

Build and operate a world class performance management team for an ever-evolving CCIB segment delivering forward looking insights and strong process management.

Business

  • To provide support and work in close partnership with the Region / Country business heads, coverage team and finance stakeholders for business performance monitoring and analysis.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information / MIS to enable strategic decision making.
  • Analyse business performance (management and financial and provide descriptive analytics and highlight risks and opportunities and drive actions to ensure committed financial outcome.
  • Provide insights on Costs which enables to country to meet cost targets and positive JAWs.
  • Understand the differences in different ledger / performance views of Local reporting, Group Reporting and Management reporting and articulate the variances and performances.
  • Timely monitor and review of financials and close coordination with wider finance teams to ensure correct monthly financials are reported and variances are fully explainable.
  • Prepare insightful performance review packs to support performance reviews and executive meetings such as GPR, CMT, Product / Segment QPRs, etc.
  • Setup financial models for providing accurate forecasting of Outlook and Corporate plan for the country and work with region and group for alignment and submission.
  • Support Balance Sheet, capital and liquidity requirements through an understanding of its impact on consolidated business performance and support active balance sheet management for strategic planning.
  • Provide ADHOC analysis / insights on Region / Country and Business performance.
Processes
  • Ensure robust financial processes in place to report revenue, cost and balance sheet for Region / Country in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with Group / IFRS accounting principles and practices, Financial Control policy, and other regulatory accounting guidelines.
  • Drive transformation of process to be simpler, automated and has robust controls in place.
  • Focus on continuous process improvement to ensure efficient and robust process in place.
People and Talent
  • Collaborate with Group / Regional / Country Finance colleagues in providing quality management information and review of business plans and strategies.
  • Learn and upskill to stay on top of the changing role of Finance in the industry.
  • Contribute to any ad-hoc finance related projects, including providing support to Finance Transformation initiatives as well as simplification of bank process.
Risk Management
  • Ensure risk management and controls are embedded in our process.
Governance
  • Ensure compliance to all policy in place.
Key Stakeholders
  • CCIB Regional and Country Finance Leadership, CCIB Region / Country Product and Segment Heads, Regional and Group Finance teams, Country Regional and Group Business Performance Teams
Other Responsibilities

As a senior member of the CCIB finance team and Plan to Perform extended leadership, drive A3 improvement initiatives across the finance team.
  • Contribute to people initiatives across Global finance services / Plan to Perform GPO.
  • Act as a though leader to challenge status quo and drive change.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified CA / CMA / CPA or MBA from a premium institute
Role Specific Technical Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Planning and Management Reporting of Global Organisation
  • Strong knowledge of the finance systems on any global tech platforms ( Oracle, SAP)
  • Implementation experience with the data and digital MI technologies (Tableau, Dataiku)
