Role & Responsibilities: As Manager R&D you will provide leadership to handle MCP (Material Cost Productivity) function for 2 North American manufacturing sites. This role involves for driving cost out projects & deliver $8M cost savings in calendar year. IEC MCP Leader to develop and implement MCP Strategy. Ensure Execution excellence and will be spear heading the Project Team to ensure that the projects are delivered on time with the right technical quality. Apply the ideation techniques like Product cost analysis, should costing, Costed BOM analysis, site material spend analysis, teardown, competitive benchmarking & VAVE methodology and build cost out pipeline. Build a strong pipeline of $10M for the following year to deliver. Engage with global stakeholders in presenting, reporting progress, escalating for support periodically. Provide leadership, supervision & coordination for project management, design activities for the MCP projects. Ensure your project leaders project plan is reviewed periodically and drive them to deliver on time. Work with the project leaders on better resolving project risk at the earlier stage of projects and have a clear plan of mitigating it. Work closely with the Design manager with building the DVP through P-diagram & FMEA\'s. Identify the process gaps, Build & follow standard work, PPI system for continuous improvement & effective execution. Use PPI methodology to drive Continuous Improvement and support all PPI, Keys and Lean projects. Provide & stick with annual operating plan for your respective sites which include budgeting and resources requirements. Clearly establish & maintain the proficiency matrix & resource loading for your team. Provide mentor, guidance, and support for the continued professional development of the team. Skills and Competencies: Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering 12+ years overall experience with strong sustenance & Cost out project execution experience. 3 years in multi project team management handling portfolio more than 50 projects at any given point in time. Delivered $5M+ cost savings for the business handles over the career. Experience with developing strategy and detailed plan for the portfolio to meet and exceeds the goals. Having strong record of driving strategic Cost out or VAVE deliveries. Experience in product VAVE project execution. Proficient with gate / technical review process Awareness on regulatory requirements, certification and engineering standards Excellent interpersonal skills. Should be good in critical thinking skills Ability to influence stakeholders. Good in people management.
