Your Career Palo Alto Networks SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) group is looking for a technical, hands-on QA manager, experienced with product lifecycles from inception to end-of-life with expert knowledge of Software Quality best practices and processes. A focused mindset of continuous product quality improvements around stability, functionality, performance and customer success is key. You ideally have experienced critical issue management, you can assess problems, and remain calm under pressure while providing thoughtful resolutions. Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills are required as you will collaborate with Engineers, Customer Advocates, Program and Product Management. As the QA manager, you will be responsible for ensuring top quality and you will oversee and coordinate the overall testing process and projects. You will design and enhance automation frameworks, help strategize, and improve automation test effectiveness. Your Impact

• Manage, lead, mentor, and coach one or more engineering teams
• Be accountable for the engineering quality of the subject matter areas your teams are responsible for
• Work closely with QA, Dev, DevOps, PM and cross-functional managers to refine business requirements in alignment with good testing & automation principles
• Work closely with team leads and architects to create good test strategy/planning that meets business requirements and aligns with best practices
• Ability to translate technology into business value
• Working in conjunction with management and colleagues, define, document, and demonstrate good software quality & automation engineering practices
• Stay up-to-date on new technology changes and features to provide recommendations for process improvements and feature adoption
• Facilitate project delivery from your teams, working in conjunction with product managers, development managers, analysts, business partners, and system administrators
• Plan, drive and execute business-critical custom apps and microservices Roadmap
• Facilitate production support affecting the system areas your teams are responsible for
• Identify risks and prepare mitigation plans

Qualifications
Your Experience

• BE/B.tech technical degree or relevant tech qualification
• 11+ years of experience in software testing and automation in at least one of the programming languages like JAVA/Python
• Minimum 2+ years of team management experience
• Experience in SD-WAN product is a plus - P1
• Experience with standard TCP/IP protocols such as ARP, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP & IPSec VPNs - P1
• Experience with performance characterization of a networking products - P1
• Experience with enterprise routing protocols such as BGP,OSPF & EIGRP etc. - P1
• Experience with networking features like Multicast, IPv6, DNS, NAT & DHCP - P1
• Experience with Automation frameworks & Programming using Python and RestAPI\xe2\x80\x99s - P1
• Experience in the control plane and data plane architecture in networking devices - P2
• Demonstrated ability to lead engineers to deliver working software on time and with high quality & coverage - P2
• Good Knowledge in Linux platform testing on x86 platform architecture, Components and tools - P2
• Good knowledge in system/scale testing simulating large enterprise networks is a plus - P2
• Demonstrated understanding of good software testing and automation engineering practices - P2
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills - Strong architectural skills on the platform(s) your teams work on is a strong advantage
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor\'s degree in a related field or equivalent experience or equivalent military experience required
