Reporting Line Reports to: Plant Head
Direct Reports: 3 Team Members (Sourcing / Vendor Management / Purchase Operations)
Experience Required

• 12-15 years of experience in procurement / purchase, ideally in project-based manufacturing or industrial systems environment (Projects/ glass / chemical / process / OEM components).

• Experience handling indirect + direct sourcing, vendor qualification, cost negotiation, quality management & delivery performance.

• Strong background in turning around or optimizing purchase functions, change management, vendor base rationalization etc.

• The procurement's scope: Non-glass materials (metals, jackets, flanges, control components, insulation, piping, supports etc.), tubing, ancillaries from external vendors.

• Good understanding of materials, engineering drawings, specifications particularly for metals, tubing, ancillary components.

Key focus areas include:
1. Cost Competitiveness: Drive systematic cost optimization through strategic sourcing, cost benchmarking, and long-term supplier partnerships while maintaining quality and reliability.
2. Quality Excellence: Strengthen vendor quality systems and ensure all procured components and materials meet the company's high engineering and process standards.
3. Delivery Reliability: Enhance supplier planning and coordination to ensure timely deliveries that align with production and project schedules.
4. Vendor Development & Diversification: Expand and modernize the supplier base by identifying new capable vendors, reducing over-dependence on a few sources, and nurturing strong relationships with high-performing suppliers.
5. Process & System Enhancement: Bring in best-practice procurement systems, digital tracking, transparent workflows, and structured vendor evaluation metrics to improve visibility and control.
6. Ethical & Transparent Sourcing Culture: Foster a high-integrity procurement environment emphasizing fairness, compliance, and professional governance.
