The Senior Infrastructure Operations Team Leader supervises others� volume and quality of work relating to the operation and management of central and/or local data centres, legacy and/or centralized infrastructure, standards and requirements to support the availability of Vodafone IT applications and Data Centre activities and database environments. They ensure availability and effective functioning of internal network infrastructure, data availability and technical support for customers (internal and external). Including monitoring of hardware and software in datacentres, and executing event/incident, configuration, escalation, release, deployment and 3rd party database management activities.Typically reports to the Senior Infrastructure Operations Manager.

  • Guides team to deliver improvement for Vodafone Infrastructure Management practices and procedures to support the achievement of the Technology strategy;
  • Supports team in delivery of Vodafone Infrastructure Management requirements and initiatives through the identification of business requirements and IT database needs, including coordination of security, maintenance and utilisation;
  • Understands procedures to supervise the team and ensure the delivery against IT/Network infrastructure challenges across firewalls, file transfer protocols, proxy servers, data centres, cloud, virtualisation, storage and backup areas;
  • Provides operational support with supervisory responsibility for a team, ensuring that they perform regular system reviews and pro-active performance and resilience improvements in order to provide best customer experience on service;
  • Communicates and exchanges complex information to ensure consistency in infrastructure compliance with Vodafone Group standards;
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of the service performance spectrum to deliver refresh and/or decommission programmes that improve service availability;
  • Maintains solid relations and works closely with internal and external partners;
  • Demonstrates solid communication skills, reviewing incidents regularly and ensuring that all incidents are solved according to SLA�s;
  • Performs other job-related duties or tasks defined by the supervisor or resulting from assigned agendas.
