Responsibilities & Key Deliverables Design & Development : a. Develop Cab system design to meet performance, reliability and cost targets considering sourcing and manufacturability issues b. Specialized in the domain of Cabin -- i. Design, Manufacturing process & material knowledge of cabin structure, sheet metal components, interiors & exterior plastic and trim parts ii. Functional knowledge of HVAC system iii. Knowledge of operator space layout, Visibility, Controls & ergonomic and aesthetics iv. Packaging, defining hard points, outlining design details to ensure world class fit and finish v. Knowledge of glass design vi. Carry on design calculation, analysis, tolerance analysis to ensure first time right for fitment / Fucntion and product reliability vii. Knowledge of Cabin testing standard, safety standards and statutory Requirements viii. Scientific failure analysis leading to permanent fix of failures during development phase. c. Capacity to bring in technological advancements in Cab & BIW d. Capacity to review and evaluate detailed design, CAE, simulation and analysis and ensure that the design objectives are fully met in terms of quality, cost and time e. Experience in optimizing system parameters such as performance, packaging, aesthetic appeal and cost to development of a world class product f. Capacity to comprehend manufacturing and assembly issues at the start of design and ensure that the designs are manufacturable and assembled g. Catia / CAD software knowledge specially in surfacing is must h. design concept generation / review / detailing and release ensuring all design processes are met b. Permanently fix Cab & BIW system design deficiencies as and when it gets surfaced during product development cycle on time by taking proactive steps c. Creation of 3D models, meshing, preparation of manufacturing drawings d. Seek timely guidance from superiors and experts to complete the assigned tasks with quality e. Ensuring drawing and design calculations as per laid down standards and practices Support to Other Functions a. Provide timely support to other system groups, sourcing, manufacturing engineering and testing groups by way of technical clarifications Process Adherence: a. Understanding and implementing MPDS and MQS in all aspects of engineering activities Drive and Result Orientation: aa. Seek timely help from superiors and expert in resolving technical issues related to Cab & BIW design b. Exceeding targets set and demonstrating potential to take on additional responsibility c. Takes initiative other than Cab & BIW to create value for the product and process . Learning and Growth: a. Constantly strives hard to refine engineering knowledge by going through design reports, research publications and seeking help from peers and superiors b. Suggest ideas to improve product and process Preferred Industries Education Qualification Bachelors of Technology in Production Engg. Bachelors of Technology in Mechanical Bachelor of Engineering in Production Engg.
