Job Summary

The Manager on Duty (MOD) is responsible for overseeing overall hospital operations during assigned shifts, especially after regular working hours. The role ensures smooth coordination between clinical and non-clinical departments, effective patient service delivery, and immediate resolution of operational issues.

Qualifications & Requirements

MBA / MHA / BHA / Graduate with hospital experience

2-5 years

experience in hospital administration or operations Knowledge of NABH standards and hospital policies preferred

Key Responsibilities

Oversee hospital operations during assigned shifts (day/night) Act as the hospital's administrative authority during duty hours Coordinate with doctors, nurses, paramedical, and support staff Handle patient grievances and resolve issues professionally Monitor admissions, discharges, bed management, and emergency flow Ensure availability of duty doctors, nursing staff, and support services Supervise emergency and critical situations in coordination with clinical teams Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, and safety protocols Handle medico-legal cases (MLC) and coordinate with concerned authorities Monitor security, housekeeping, biomedical waste, and infection control Maintain shift reports, incident reports, and handover notes Communicate key issues to hospital management and department heads
