What you will do:

The Mgr Of Site Integration and Strategy will be a key role at the India Office. The core responsibilities of the role will include onboarding, transitioning, and ramping up new teams to the India office and integrating them into the global workforce. The role initially leads the engineering, product, and delivery teams during the ramp-up phase, and then transitions them to functional leaders while moving on to the next teams. Additionally, this role is also responsible for supporting the site leader in running the overall office through activities such as financial operations, campus hiring programs, innovation initiatives, vendor management, and other partnerships.

Site Integration Strategy:
  • Create and own the playbook for onboarding new teams into the India Office.
  • Collaborate with global counterparts to align processes, ways of working and best practices for integrating new teams into the broader organization.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity and cross-functional collaboration among global teams, encouraging knowledge-sharing and leveraging expertise from diverse locations.
  • Own and operationalize processes and activities to ensure smooth onboarding, transition and integration of new teams and functions at the India Office.
  • Establish a continuous improvement process with KPIs to improve the onboarding, transition and integration of new teams and functions at the India Office.
Transition Leadership
  • Working with senior leadership, develops and executes a comprehensive onboarding and integration strategy for new engineering, product, and delivery teams starting at the India IT office.
  • Participates in all hiring activities as needed for the teams.
  • Provide initial transitional people leadership as the organization ramps up and the leader for the team is hired in.
  • Responsible to build out a strong functioning team with product and engineering excellence to deliver on long term business capabilities.
  • Guide and lead teams during the initial ramp-up phase, providing direction, support, and mentorship to facilitate a smooth transition.
  • Create and execute on a change management strategy for the new team.
  • Facilitate the transition of ramped-up teams to local leader(s) and functional leader(s), ensuring a seamless handover while maintaining strong cross-team collaboration.
  • During Transitional leadership Role
  • Partner with key stakeholders & other leaders across all levels to drive solutions to meet business needs
  • Manage and lead multiple global modernization, engineering, QA, and DevSecOps teams for multiple product and technical domains in an Agile environment
  • Accountable for the end-to-end technical delivery of complex technical Epics, or technical aspects of larger Epics to achieve business outcomes that may span more than one product team or technical domain
  • Partners with various leaders within IT as needed to forge key agreements around solution approaches / designs and operating principles
  • Serves as a liaison with other IT partners for matters relating to their owned products (inc. security related aspects)
  • Responsible & accountable for structuring & sustaining both the Organization Structure and corresponding Value Delivery Network (Agile Teams)
  • Sets the vision for the function and ensures the team is comprised of highly skilled professionals who are empowered, engaged in continuous improvement, and invested in developing their capabilities.
  • Sponsors IT driven initiatives to enable alignment to a domain roadmap or improve operational efficiencies or business effectiveness.
  • Key point of escalation for team to remove blockers.
Site Ops & Strategy:
  • Assist the site leader in overseeing financial operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and cost optimization.
  • Help in creating and executing strategies to enhance the value proposition of the India Office. Participate / Lead implement new capabilities at the India Office.
  • Assist and help with campus hiring programs, supporting recruitment efforts to attract top talent and foster a diverse workforce.
  • Spearhead initiatives aimed at fostering innovation within the office, encouraging creative thinking and continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of innovation by organizing workshops, hackathons, and knowledge-sharing sessions among teams.
  • Help evaluate and select vendors for various services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring optimal vendor performance and value for the organization.
  • Establish and potentially own the vendor governance at the Office while collaborating with VMO and GS&P.
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with external organizations to drive collaboration, expand opportunities, and access new markets.
  • Implement performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of team integration and office operations.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights into progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and industry standards, safeguarding data privacy and maintaining a secure and compliant working environment.
  • Help oversee and facilitate facility management

  • Influences peer group and senior leadership team on strategic direction for improving the efficiency of delivering IT services and driving value for the business
  • Comfortable with some degree of ambiguity. Politically astute; able to negotiate under potentially stressful situations.
  • Engages external business partners, outsourcers, and offshore development partners as needed to supplement in-house staff in the execution of technical project deliverables. Partners with Global Sourcing and Procurement, Legal, Talent Acquisition and Vendor Management as required to create Statements of Work and staffing solutions.
  • Ensures adherence to the TJX Companies Solution Delivery Process (SDP), Sarbanes Oxley requirements and other corporate standards, procedures and guidelines.
  • Partners with various teams within IT to forge key agreements around solution approaches, operating principles, and transition to production.
Primary Skills:
  • 15 years prior experience in systems, business management or related fields with at least 5 years leadership experience in technology and systems including HR responsibilities. Experience with Site leadership desired.
  • Experience managing a global function in a complex, matrixed, multi-national corporate setting with geographically dispersed teams.
  • SAFe certification preferred. Experience with resource planning and management across multiple projects.
  • Leads team of 2 - 8 direct reports and 20-45 indirect staff, Managed a manager.
  • Techno Functional Leader with strong People Management experience, Stakeholder management, Global exposure, Operations, PMO.
  • Helps to sets and manages the functions overall budget to plan, including associate compensation budget, Professional Services budget, software maintenance / licensing, and all expenses related to the operations of the function.
