Manager of Product Management(Director, Product, Engineering & Delivery)

The role of Manager of Product, Engineering & Delivery (Product Management) is responsible for all facets of a product / solution delivery including Product Management, Engineering and Delivery with an individual focus on Product Management.

The Manager of Product Management is responsible for defining and supporting the building of desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable products that meet ourcustomer needsover the product lifecycle. This role collaborates with a wide range of people, including Senior Management. and Business Leadersto identify and define customer needs, understand the Solution Context, anddevelops the Program Vision, Roadmap,and Features required to meet these needs including assurance that bus needs cascades down to the team level. And owns the feature product backlog and serves as the ultimate product authority approving PI/TI and Iteration objectives.

This role also owns the Engineering team and Delivery supporting a complete SAFe Agile ART cycle and lead the team on end-to-end delivery. This role will have the Engineering Managers and Product Owners and Scrum Masters reporting in as part of the Agile process. As the leader of multiple teams, they have a strong focus on coaching, mentoring, developing and growing Product and Engineering talent, and championing an engineering mindset, agile practices and adherence to Company and industry standards.

This person as the people leader is responsible for the team delivering on a set of products from India. And as a people leader support their staff with their product, technical and functional expertise and career growth/development.

Major Responsibilities

  • Partners with key stakeholders & IT leaders (including engineering managers) across all levels to understand current experiences, identify areas of opportunity, and drive solutions to meet business needs.
  • Develop vision/strategy, product lifecycle management, backlog management / prioritization, business case development, and cost/benefit analysis.
  • Generates business value work with the Portfolio layer including working with the PO to assure that the work cascades down to the team levelincluding driving andapproving PI/TI Iteration/Sprint objectives.
  • Accountable for crafting and delivering the Product roadmap for Merchandise Solutions, partnering with Business Stakeholders, Architecture, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment to Business Strategies, Technical Roadmaps, and Architectural standards.
  • Collaboratively create and align partners to a well-articulated global product vision and strategic roadmap.
  • Accountable for the end-to-end management and delivery of complex technical Epics, or technical aspects of larger Epics to achieve business outcomes that may span more than one product team or technical domain.
  • Champions IT-driven initiatives amongst IT leadership to enable alignment to a technical roadmap or strategy.
  • AppliesSAFeprinciples, Kanban and Scrum framework including embracing of agile principles & a lean agile mindset and proficient in use of agile process & tools.
  • Understands & is able to implement / support engineering best practices, methodology and standards such has DevOps, Automation & Security best practices and can collaborate with platform teams.
  • Lead, mentor, coach and develop a team of skilled and engaged Product, Engineering and Delivery teams at various levels of seniority, ensuring they have the skills, tools, and processes to deliver high-quality IT products and services.
  • Key participant in supporting and reviewing system demos to ensure demonstrated delivered work aligns with targeted bus value deliverables & scope.
  • Partners with companion teams for delivery of enterprise connected solutions.
  • Anticipate demand and lead the hiring of skilled internal & external talent for the Merchandise Solutions delivery team.
  • Accountability for the end-to-end delivery of Epics, Features, Stories and/or Programs to achieve business outcomes.
  • Evolve lean and agile process and operationalized product management workflows while leaving room for flexibility and team-specific ways of working.
  • Responsible for managing vendor relationships including expertise in ensuring targeted vendor deliverables meet our product needs including timely alignment.
  • Drives product innovation and motivates / engages the team to bring new ideas and improve existing processes.
  • Knowledgeable and supportive regarding creation & execution of product SOWs.
  • Participant & reviewer of RFPs.
  • Responsible for ensuring that Value Streams are creating feasible and sustainable products & solutions.
  • Works effectively with all levels and roles including fully understanding R&Rs of the PO, team, stakeholders & other teams.
  • People Manager with direct reports including alignment & adherence to HR compliance regarding staff management.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 12+ years of IT experience
  • Proven experience and success in delivering IT products.
  • Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment.
  • Prior experience and ability to lead complete solution delivery teams (across Product, Engineering and Delivery) and bringing in best practices working with global teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of the Oracle Retail platform and working with Retail Merchandising processes.
  • Prior experience owning and delivering large scale products.
  • SAFe Certified Scrum Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) preferred.
  • Evidence of having strong, collaborative relationships with Customers, Product Owners, Epics Owners.
  • Understanding of Epic/Feature refinement, story point estimation process.
