The D&A Data Engineering and Architecture team in Bangalore, is the engine behind the ambition of making Data Engineering and Architecture knowledge a common practice. This team is responsible for ensuring Unilever Data Lake is modelled as per industry best standards. The services from this team are consumed by the Data SMEs, Product teams, various data factories for products rollout and the Data Governance team. We are looking at enthusiastic and bright candidates to become a part of this team and work closely with our partners and stakeholders to deliver superior analytical capabilities. Advance Information Automation at Scale Main Purpose of the Job: This is an exciting opportunity to guide the NRM & UPose Data COE Team as part of Data & Analytics, Data Centre of Excellence. This role is tasked to deliver the data foundations needed to deliver maximum value from data to drive business and organisational performance for NRM and Pricing Analytics products. Define, execute, and embed the data and analytics strategy, delivering the data platform foundations needed to fuel our analytical products and deliver the democratisation of our data across the whole organisation. Defining and embedding a strong enterprise data governance and data quality programme within the Data Lake to properly govern our internal, 2nd and 3rd party data assets and to ensure we have end to end quality from source to product. Partnering with our functions and analytical products to consulting and innovate on data components of products within a function / country / cluster: establishing data as a product, data as an enabler, then data as a service (and maybe eventually data as a business). The position will be a Manager - Product & Data SME in charge for NRM and Pricing Analytics partnering with analytical products, business groups and functions, to define and design specifications for the data platform. You will work with the Data COE Senior Manager for CD - DT to masterfully execute and collaborate with senior stakeholders to (i) drive cultural shift around data within the organisation (ii) explore innovation opportunities around new data channels, new data feeds (iii) identify interdependent activities and bias towards front-loading high impact work Key accountabilities : 1. Acknowledge the data requirements and assess the gaps in data availability by liaising with product, market & source 2. Liaise with internal Data COE teams & 3rd parties in data assessments, data pilots and data delivery 3. Work with Factory teams to plan and deliver data ingestions in UDL and BDL 4. Work with marketing agencies like Nielsen, IRI, Kantar to address data requirements across NRM and UPose Products across markets and categories, globally 5. Work with the Product Managers & Engagement teams to ensure that data foundation demands are captured and delivered to be consumed by the products as per the product go-live roadmap 6. Assist the business in change impact assessments and development of change management plans in data delivery Experience and qualifications required: Essential . Experience in driving business value realisation from data and business intelligence preferred . Experience working with Marketing (Nielsen, Kantar, IRI, etc.) and Finance datasets . Azure experience (ADF, ADB) . Strong track record of working with senior business management to drive definition, alignment, data operating foundations to address complex business questions . Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously in a highly VUCA and ruthless market Desired . Proven capability in managing and developing teams . Data Governance preferred .
