About the Team
The GCS India Marketing team is responsible for driving demand generation via digital channels, delivering quality digital leads to the sales team, responsible for all aspects of customer marketing including customer triggers, cross sell/upsell, digital experiences & capabilities, customer communications and portfolio engagement strategies.
The team embodies a fast paced and dynamic culture, operates nimbly and embraces teamwork, accountability, flexibility and a will to win attitude. There is a strong collaboration component to this role as this role will work closely with the Sales team, Product, Servicing, Central teams, Finance, Compliance and Consumer.

An excellent opportunity has emerged for a Senior Manager - Marketing role, reporting to the Director & Head of Marketing in Global Commercial Services (GCS) India at American Express. This is a people leader position responsible for marketing and engagement for American Express India\xe2\x80\x99s Corporate Clients and Cardmembers and will lead a diverse range of marketing initiatives across customer lifecycle, business segments and channels. Focus areas include, but not limited to customer early engagement, digital adoption, growing spends / billing, driving loyalty, reducing attrition, and creative communications across channels.
Key Responsibilities


  • Manage the customer lifecycle marketing with key interventions at different stages of Client / Card membership from Early Engagement to activation, portfolio triggers, engagement, and controlling attrition

  • Deliver exceptional campaigns and best-in-class communications to Corporate Clients and Cardmembers and drive customer spend stimulation, spend diversity and deepening campaigns to grow share of billing

  • Deliver exceptional customer experience and drive Corporate NPS (net promoter score)

  • Devise and own the monthly communication calendar for corporate clients and Cardmembers

  • Build great working relationships with Sales and AD teams in GCS India as well as other local / global stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of new products, capabilities, and initiatives in India market

  • Partner with Global Merchant Services for merchant offers and lead communications strategy to drive positive perception of coverage amongst Clients and Cardmembers

  • Deliver a broad range of BTL (below the line) communications e.g., for regulatory requirements and new digital capabilities impacting our Clients and Cardmembers

  • Ensuring all performance standards are met viz. business targets, controls and compliance including 3rd party management (agencies, vendors, partners etc.)

Qualification & Skills

  • Graduation in any discipline; MBA / post-graduation in business / marketing from top B-schools preferred

  • At least 7-8 years of Marketing experience required in a large size company and preferably in a B2B marketing environment

  • Passion for delivering best-in-class, innovative and impactful communications

  • Results oriented and good project management skills with previous people leadership experience preferable

  • Proven experience in successfully managing and leading Agency relationships to deliver high quality marketing

  • Understanding of financial services, particularly India Corporate and SME sector would be an asset

  • Analytical and data driven, but also have a passion for creativity and forward-thinking

  • Understanding of consumer perspective and ability to effectively analyze customer data to create insight-led Marketing strategies and campaigns

  • Team player with excellent communication skills to work with colleague across business lines, time
